You can vote from the comfort of your own home—just like 97% of members have in the past. GVP will mail ballots in shortly after July 4th. Simply mark your ballot when you get if and mail it back by August 1. Ballots are counted the day after the annual meeting..
If you’d rather not mail it, you can drop your completed ballot off at the GVP office at 845 22 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505
You can also vote at the Annual Meeting—plus, enjoy a meal while you're there!
More information on voting can be found here here
If you live in the green zone on the GVP service area map and pay a GVP electric bill, you're eligible to vote. Whether you have one meter or several, each member gets only one vote. If multiple names are on the account, you share a single vote.

This is important: you are not required to use all your votes. You can vote for only one or two candidates if that’s all you support. This is known as a protest voting and helps your preferred candidate more than giving extra votes to others you’re not sure about.
An example will make this clearer. Suppose that candidate 'A', from a field of 4, generates 1000 new voters who vote for candidate 'A'. If all the new voters use all three votes then there are 2000 more votes that go to A's opponents. If the 2000 votes were randomly distributed to the remaining 3 candidates then each of A's opponents picks up 666 votes. So the advantage of a 1000 new voters dwindles to only 334 more votes not 1000!
So as you can see, if you can not truly support three candidates you should withhold your extra votes to give your preferred candidate(s) the best chance of winning.
Your vote helps shape the future of Grand Valley Power. Please take a few minutes to make it count.
